“An X-ray is a quick, painless test that produces images of the structures inside your body — particularly your bones.
X-ray beams pass through your body, and they are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the material they pass through. Dense materials, such as bone and metal, show up as white on X-rays. The air in your lungs shows up as black. Fat and muscle appear as shades of gray.”

“X-Rays are generally simple and painless walk-in procedures. They do not require any preparation or appointments.
Our skilled Radiographer will instruct you to get changed (when necessary) and then guide you through optimal positioning in order to obtain the best possible images for your requested exam. They will use low dose Radiation to obtain the necessary images. The amount of radiation you’re exposed to during an X-ray will depend on the area being imaged. Generally, radiation exposure from an X-ray is low, and the benefits from these tests outweigh the risks.
However, if you are pregnant or suspect that you may be pregnant, tell your doctor before having an X-ray. Your doctor may consider another approach to your care or choose to move forward with limited views.
X-Ray imaging times can vary in time depending on the number of images required and the number of exams requested by your referring Provider.
